Ramada? I Hardly Know...."Da"... No, That Doesn't Work

So, our trip back to Bermuda started off well enough. We checked out of the hotel, returned the rental car, went though the automated check in and were at the terminal with plenty of time to spare. Time enough for another burrito, in fact, though O'Hare lacks a Chipotle. Burrito Beach was still vastly superior to the Mexican cuisine of Bermuda. Niklas once again had a fine time wandering about the terminal while we waited for our flight. Our wait was extended for a while because the plane coming in to pick us up was delayed by weather. Once we finally got on the plane and Cap'n kick-the-seat was all strapped in, we were delayed even further. To make a long story slightly less long, the combined delays added up to us missing our connecting flight to Bermuda in New York. The last flight to Bermuda, it turns out, for twenty four hours. That's how we ended up at the JFK Plaza Ramada which is actually an Air Tram and sketchy hotel shuttle away from JFK. Why not build a hotel in the middle of an industrial park? On the plus side, Niklas didn't seem to mind.

Niklas enjoys the fine dining at the JFK Ramada.

The next morning we made our way back to JFK to wait out the day's only flight to Bermuda.

    "Let's go!"

Niklas amused himself for hours (literally) by playing on a Need For Speed machine.

    Hands at 10 and 2? That's for lame-os.

As long as you have nitrous oxide, I guess you don't need to reach the gas pedal.

Niklas is already better than me with the manual transmission.

Does this look like a man who would be maniacal behind the wheel? (Hint: Yes)

This illustrates Niklas's fundamental difficulties with driving.

And after all that, our flight home was uneventful and only 24 hours late. There wasn't even any seat kicking.
