Bloomington, Home Of The Niklas Depository
So on Friday night, we went out to dinner to celebrate Niklas's grandma's retirement. A good time was had
by all, especially Niklas who got some crayons and, because the restaurant is in a converted fire station, a
fire hat. Boy, it would be nice if someone would have taken a picture of him wearing that. Instead, here he is
riding a rocking horse.
Niklas loves the Clutch song "Raised By Horses".
On Saturday, Andrya and I left Niklas with his grandparents and headed up to Chicago for Lynn and Sebastian's wedding.
As I understand it, Niklas completely wore his grandpa out at the park and then did some playing with the other little
kids in the neighborhood. I'm unclear on any other details (including Niklas's reaction to the heartbreaking loss by the Pens
in game 4), but a fine time was certainly had by all. We came back to
pick him up on Sunday. He ran to the door when we got there, but before either one of us could hug him he ran off to play
with some blocks. Niklas is cool with grandma's house. He did get upset when I left him in the house to take some stuff out
to the car, so I guess he's not ready to kick Andrya and I to the curb just yet. Anyway, we headed back to Chicago for a
last look at full blown civilization.
