Who Doesn't Love A Good Airport Story? Well, An Airport Story, Anyway. Good's Probably Pushing It.

Right. So we landed at JFK in New York with but several hours to spare before our connecting flight to Chicago. How did Niklas spend his time? By dragging his carseat wheelie thing all over creation, that's how. Note that for our purposes, creation is defined as terminal 8 at JFK.

Things Niklas has been right about that he absolutely should not have been, part 1: "Climbing on this window is perfectly safe as long as I have this wheeled cart to lean on."

Niklas departs on a three hour tour of JFK. Thankfully, there was to be no Gilligan's Island style disaster.

Here's the carseat cart thing properly deployed, for once.

Oh, business class, you were awesome. After Niklas completed his marathon walk about the terminal, we got on the plane to Chicago. Sadly, we were back in coach, wherein the seats are ideally set up for Niklas to kick the crap out of the seat in front of him. Andrya and I were able to contain him for a while, but after a 45 minute delay on the tarmac, we gave up and took him out of his seat. He almost fell asleep on my lap before realizing that he could cause much more havoc if he were awake. Andrya ended up holding him (or corralling him in the space in front of her seat for most of the flight. Because he was busy busting stuff up, he forgot all about naptime which no doubt added to his pleasant demeanor.
