  • Niklas And Jay's Beach Hike Extravaganza Of Extravagance 2007

Excitement Encountered Betwixt The House And Horseshoe Beach

As I am responsible, I insisted that Niklas apply sunblock to himself before we left.

Niklas waits patiently in the car leaving me to the task of...

...loading up a bag of trash. It's crazy far from our place to the dumpster and Niklas won't help carry anything.

Here's the view from the driveway. The caution tape is from some roadwork that's being done that only twice has horribly, horribly inconvenienced us.

You can see some of the ruins of Whale Bay Fort amongst the trees. Leading scientists agree that the ruination of the fort was probably not due to any involvement of Niklas's.

Here are the dumpsters where I was finally able to deposit our wretched, wretched cargo. This marks the end of my productivity for the day.

This is a sign that, uh, yeah. I've got nothing.

This is the road leading away from our house. Now, you may ask "Isn't it dangerous to take pictures and drive?" to which I would respond "No. No it is not. Also, shut up."

This is the bus that Niklas and I no longer have to ride on since I've now got my Bermudian driver's license. Take that, public transportation!

Off to the left is the railway trail we take Niklas for walks on. If this were Chicago, I'd be terrified that a confused old man would run us down after mistaking the trail for the road. In Bermuda, though, we could be run down by a person of any age.

Here are the remains a railroad bridge. Leading scientists cannot dismiss the possibility that this bridge was, in fact, destroyed by Niklas.

    Here's a cemetery. Cheery-cheery-cheery!

I think this is overlooking Church Bay, but I was much to much of a responsible driver to be sure of that.

Here's the Bermudian flag flying over some archetypical Bermudian buildings that not doubt contain Bermudians. Probably some Candadians, too. They're everywhere around here.

This is the Gibbs Hill Lighthouse. Why such an awful picture? Responsible driving, that's why.
